Many people lose track of how old their appliances are. I really witnessed an elderly couple debating whether their dryer was ten or twenty fives years old. It was rather entertaining considering the discrepancy. Needless to say, here's a great site to get the facts about dating your appliance.

I started apprenticing with Ted Fasoldt when I was 15 years old. He taught me all I know about appliances, but most importantly, he taught how to properly treat customers. His customer base has been so rich with life long customers. I've tried to carry on the tradition of quality customer service throughout the years. My business just won the coveted 2012 Super Service Award for Major Appliance Repair from Angie's List. I attribute this award to Ted Fasoldt's high standard of great customer service and to my life long customers. Thank you all for your support.

Welcome to the control board age. Unfortunately we'll be seeing more problems like this, as more machines are made with control boards inside of them. This GE washer (GTWN4250DWS) and others in the "GTWN" family have a common motor problem. If there's a spike in electricity or a brown out, the motor could shut itself down. Watch this video to find out how to reset it. Knowledge is power and it could save you a lot of money.
