Speed Queen’s Warranty

awn311 washer and dryer

When buying an appliance, would you rather have a salesman's perspective or a repairman's perspective? The answer is obvious. You would rather have someone who is experienced with how the appliance is made based on the track record of hands-on repair. I've been servicing appliances for over 12 years and selling them for 3 years. You're going to get a perspective of what I believe will last you the longest for your money. My favorite washer and dryer is Speed Queen. Their track record and warranty is second to none. Most every other appliance manufacturer warranties are one-year parts and labor. Check out Speed Queen's warranties.

Top Load Washers

  • 3-year warranty on parts and labor for the entire washing machine
  • 5-year limited warranty on the motor
  • 5-year limited warranty on the cabinet
  • 10-year limited warranty on the transmission
  • A lifetime warranty on the outer drain tub and the stainless steel wash basket

Front Load Washers

  • 3-year warranty on parts and labor for the entire washing machine
  • 5-year limited warranty on the motor
  • 5-year limited warranty on the cabinet
  • 5-year limited warranty on the bearing and seal assembly
  • A lifetime warranty on the stainless steel wash basket
  • A lifetime warranty on the stainless steel outer drain tub

Dryers

  • 3-year warranty on parts and labor for the entire machine
  • 5-year limited warrant on the cabinet
  • Lifetime warranty for the interior cylinder

Warranties reflect quality, it's as simple as that.

Dryer Heating Problems

dryer vent cleaning

My dryer isn't drying but I do feel some heat:

This is a very common issue. Most of the time this problem can be resolved by checking for a venting problem. Turn the dryer on and go outside to check the force of air flow coming out. If the dryer isn't pushing air out forcefully then check for a pinched or clogged vent line. The inside of the dryer can also be clogged with lint or jammed by a small piece of clothing. Also, check for a kink in the vent line. Over the years a vent line can slowly kink making the dryer very inefficient. Most manufacturers recommend that you clean out your vent line once a year to help prevent fires and save on energy cost.

My electric dryer will tumble but won't heat:

Don't pick up the phone just yet. Check your breakers first. Half of the power to an electric dryer is for the motor and other parts to function. The other half of the power is for the heat in the dryer. Some breakers will only blow on the heating circuit of the breaker. Trying to push it on from the position it's in may not solve the problem. Find the breaker that supplies power to the dryer and turn it all the way off, then all the way on. This is an easy step that may save you a lot of money.
